What are the installation precautions for containerized mechanical seals?
1. The installation should be clean and smooth. Sealing components, related mechanical equipment components, tools, lubricating grease (grease), wiping materials (cotton yarn, white cloth, silk, etc.) should be very clean. The sealing end face of the sound ring must be wiped with white silk or a soft sandcloth.
2. The repair of chamfers, shafts, sealed end caps, etc. should be smooth, and the relevant curvature of shafts and end caps should be sandblasted.
3. During installation, flat oil or I0 engine oil should be applied to the dynamic and static rings (especially the sealing end blood) to assist the sealing ring, shaft, and end cover in reducing friction and avoiding damage to the sealing end face of the static ring and the auxiliary sealing ring.
4. Install auxiliary sealing ring.
1) Plastic auxiliary sealing rings should not be cleaned with gasoline or gasoline immersion to prevent expansion, deformation, and premature aging.
2) After installing the O-ring on the dynamic or static ring component, it should be reasonable and not distorted, so that the cross-section of the burr is in a free state. For O-ring seals with slightly thicker burrs, if the burr position is 45o, they can be used. But attention should be paid to the burrs. When pushing the component, one side of the O-ring and the sealing element (rotating cover or sealing chamber) slide relative to each other. The burrs on the side should be after the rolling angle, otherwise the burrs will open and remain in the sealing position, endangering the sealing effect.
3) When pushing components, precautions should be taken to prevent damage to the O-ring seal. The key forms of damage include chipping, cracking, bumping, curling, and distortion.
5. Adjust the machine seal compression according to technical standards, and refer to the product manual for the value. Otherwise, excessive reduction, increased port pressure, and accelerated port damage; Too small, insufficient pressure at the sealing ring port, ineffective sealing.
6. The static ring components should be installed in the rotating cover (or sealing chamber) using a stamping machine or drilling machine. In any case, the sealing components or parts of the machine should not increase the impact force. Clean paper or cloth should be placed on the pressure surface to prevent damage to the sealing end.
7. After assembling the dynamic or static ring components, press the compensating ring with your hand to check if it is installed in a timely manner and if it is flexible; Is the elastic split ring (used for axial positioning of the compensating ring in some machine seals) reliable.
8. Check if the perpendicularity between the sealed end and the shaft (or sleeve) meets the requirements.
9. The anti rotation pin lead of the static ring component should be accurate. When promoting static ring components, the pin groove of the component should be aligned with the pin. After the promotion is in place, measure the distance between the part port and a certain end of the sealing chamber to determine whether it is installed properly.
10. When tightening the bolts to clamp the end cap, be symmetrical, careful, and apply force. Tighten in several times and do not tighten again to avoid tilting or even damaging the stationary ring.
11. After installing the dynamic ring, ensure that it moves smoothly radially on the shaft (press the spring with the dynamic ring and then bounce back freely).
