What are the general precautions for using containerized mechanical seals?

1. In media that are prone to crystallization, machine seals should be cleaned frequently. Before restarting after parking, the crystals inside the machine seal should be cleaned first.

2. Before using the machine seal, check whether all initial seals are invalid or damaged. If so, please repair and replace them.

During the installation process, attention should be paid to removing errors. When the screws are restricted, they should be tightened evenly to prevent errors and make the seal ineffective.

4. When removing the machine seal, be careful not to use hammers, hammers or other striking objects to avoid damaging the dynamic and static ring seals.

5. As machine seals are generally suitable for cleaning and have no suspended particles, newly installed pipeline systems and storage tanks should be carefully cleaned to strictly prevent solid residues from entering the sealing end face and rendering the seal ineffective.

6. If there are stains that cannot be eliminated, please try to eliminate them as much as possible and rinse them thoroughly before disassembly to avoid damaging the seals.

7. For seals containing external cleaning, open the cleaning solution before opening to fill the sealing chamber with sealing solution. When terminating work, first grip the pump tightly, and then turn off the sealing cleaning solution.

8. The relative friction surfaces of the moving ring and the stationary ring should be strictly inspected, and there should be no minor scratches, dents, or other defects. Before installation, clean all components including pump casing, impeller, sealing chamber, etc., especially the dynamic and static ring ports. Cleaning, soft cloth or cotton yarn should be carefully wiped, and then coated with a layer of clean oil or grease.
