What are the commonly used sealing flushing schemes for API682?

Here are several common sealing cleaning solutions.


(1)PLAN11: The sealing flushing liquid is led out from the high-pressure area of the pump, and the cleaning flow is obtained through the flow restriction orifice plate, and then enters the sealing chamber. This cleaning plan is suitable for pumping cleaning materials to prevent blockage of the flow restriction orifice plate.


(2)PLAN13: The flushing liquid in the sealed chamber returns to the pump channel after passing through the flow restriction orifice plate. This scheme is suitable for high lift pumps and can prevent small aperture or large cleaning flow when using the PLAN11 scheme for high lift pumps.


(3)PLAN14: This scheme is equivalent to the combination of PLAN11 and PLAN13; This cleaning scheme continuously exhausts the sealed chamber while cooling the protruding surface.


(4)PLAN21: Equivalent to adding a cooling tower behind the orifice plate in the PLAN11 scheme. Cooling towers can reduce the temperature entering the sealed chamber, thereby increasing the saturation vapor pressure margin of the sealed chamber. The PLAN21 cleaning solution can be evaporative cooling, but water cooling is a better choice. Due to the fact that the flushing solution for PLAN21 comes from the outlet of the pump, PLAN21 typically provides sufficient pressure differential to provide better cleaning flow.


(5)PLAN23: The flushing liquid inside the sealed chamber enters the cooling tower outside the sealed chamber according to the circulating equipment inside the sealed chamber, and then enters the sealed chamber. For the cleaning scheme of PLAN23, the order of the refrigerant is only in the structure of the sealed chamber, and the cooling tower is only used for the cleaning liquid of the refrigeration cycle, not for the cleaning liquid at the outlet of the continuous cooling pump. Therefore, compared with PLAN21, it is more difficult to block. The cooling tower load of PLAN23 is lower than that of PLAN21, and it has high energy efficiency.


(6)PLAN32: The flushing solution comes from external cleaning substances. The cleaning schemes for PLAN21 and PLAN23 may experience blockage issues. If external flushing solution can be provided, which is compatible with the pumping solution, customers can also consider using the PLAN32 cleaning solution. But PLAN32 dilutes the product, resulting in high operating costs and energy consumption. Generally, PLAN32 is used when there are impurities such as solid particles in the material inside the pump. It is not recommended to choose the PLAN32 cleaning solution solely for refrigeration needs.


(7)PLAN52: In layout method 2, where there is no pressure closure, the buffer pressure will be 0.28mpa lower than the sealing chamber pressure. According to the circulation device inside the yz sealed chamber, circulate the buffer solution to the external storage tank, and then return the buffer solution to the yz sealed chamber. According to the leakage of gas from the main seal, the buffer solution enters the storage tank and is discharged from the top of the tank to the gas collection system. Therefore, the buffer hydraulic pressure is close to atmospheric pressure. Due to the leakage of the main seal, the pumped substance will contaminate the buffer solution, and the buffer system needs to be cleaned and maintained regularly. When the main seal leaks, the pumped substance leaks into the buffer tank, and the high liquid level alarm inside the buffer tank is opened. If the leakage rate is too fast, the pressure report of the buffer tank will be opened. The plan stipulates that the pumped substance is a clean and non polymerized liquid.
